How to Win Campaign GuidesThis is a selection of detailed guides that give practical information on to how to run environmental campaigns. They are electronic versions of booklets that are available from the Friends of the Earth shop (others are only available as paper copies, so check the shop for the full list). The PDF versions provided here are meant for online reading and to print out relevant pages. We do not recommend printing the entire documents. Please be aware that the file sizes are quite large and might take some time to download. More concise guides, covering a wide range of subjects, are also available. How to win:Working with young people (PDF - 119K) Young people and their teachers, youth leaders and parents are some of the most receptive audiences. These guidelines give you ideas about ways to contact and work with them. How to win:Rail campaigns (PDF - 332K) Explains how you can get involved with national rail campaigns or set up your own local campaigns to improve rail services. Please note, the content of this resource is now out of date, but some sections will still be useful (eg Chapter 3 – The Basics of Organising a Campaign) How to win:A guide to successful community campaigning (PDF - 609K) This book draws on almost 30 years of community-based campaigning experience from Friends of the Earth, and provides anyone who wants to get started with the first steps on how to run, and win, a local campaign. How to win:Campaign against incinerators (PDF - 442K) Filled with all the practical advice you need to help campaign against the incineration of household waste in your area with this campaign guide. How to win:Saving wildlife sites (PDF - 243K) This campaign guide gives you all the practical advice necessary to help you campaign for areas at risk.
