Working with young peopleYouth and Education Network PoliciesChild Protection PolicyFriends of the Earth is committed to working to best practice where child protection is concerned. As the Youth and Education Network grows, more and more local group members are going into schools and youth clubs to work with young people, making a comprehensive Child Protection Policy essential. This is not only to ensure that the children we are coming into contact with are protected and that you are working in as safe a way as possible, but also to keep you safe from possible allegations and difficult situations. As Friends of the Earth, we also want to put out the message that we are working responsibly and safely. Before undertaking any activities with young people, please read our Child Protection Policy, which contains guidance on recruitment to the education network, risk assessments and keeping young people safe. Photography and image useIn order to mitigate the risks posed directly and indirectly to children and other young people through the use of photographs on websites and other publications, Friends of the Earth have a policy in place on the use of images. Please read our image policy statement and use it in conjunction with our photo consent form before taking any photos of young people. Other internal policiesThe policies below detail the procedures Friends of the Earth follow during the recruitment process of local group members to the Youth and Education Network and are in accordance with the requirements of the Criminal Records Bureau: |
