Working with young people

Joining the Youth & Education network

By joining the network you will have access to

  • plenty of opportunities to share ideas and meet like-minded people;
  • training;
  • resources and staff time;
  • free child protection checks;
  • a quarterly mailing;
  • articles in Change your world;
  • opportunities to feed back your ideas, share your own resources with others and join the advisory group.

Friends of the Earth's information team can direct enquiries from educators looking for a speaker to you.

The first step to join the network is to specify why you are joining. There are three options:

Option A - For information only
Option B - As an advisor for educators
Option C - To work with young people as a representative of Friends of the Earth

If you chose options A or B, please complete and return this form.

If you chose option C then you will need to read our Child Protection Policy before completing the following:

  1. Education Network Agreement (form 1)
  2. Application form (form 2)
  3. Self declaration form (form 3)

  4. Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure applications - to request a free Criminal Records Bureau disclosure application form call Friends of the Earth's Child Protection Officer on 020 7566 1676 and request a standard CRB form for volunteers.

We always adhere to best practice where child protection is concerned, therefore according to CRB guidelines, we do not accept disclosures from previous employers and would require you to apply for a new one.
