Events

A number of events for local groups are happening throughout the year - you can find them listed in our events calendar. There's also a calendar for Coordinators which shows the key annual events and processes that will affect your group throughout the year, and a list of upcoming campaign opportunities (PDF) and their priority level.

We've also produced a guide to organising events (PDF - 234K) which gives some essential information, whether you're thinking of a small action or photo opportunity, a mass demonstration or rally, or a conference or seminar.

Local Groups Conference

Friends of the Earth's annual Conference is the great get-together of the local groups network.

Days of action

These are special creative days when local groups can choose to take part in a stunt and campaign on a Friends of the Earth campaign. Groups are provided with specific materials such as posters, leaflets and stickers. Forthcoming days of action are listed on the events calendar.

Consultation days

All Friends of the Earth campaign teams have committed to consulting their registered local campaigners in the formation and revision of campaign strategies, to ensure that they are developed with the ideas and experience of local campaigners. Teams may choose to consult their local campaigners via paper, email, and/or holding a consultation day.

Training/skill share days

They are a chance for national and local campaigners to share knowledge and tactics around a particular issue - again, these are listed on the events calendar. Some of Friends of the Earth's past events (such as training days) are listed here, with any background information, presentations, notes etc which are available for that event.
