The Big Ask Day of Action in picturesThe Day of Action happened on Saturday 5 April and nearly 140 local groups in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland took part. We’re already getting some fantastic photos sent in from groups all over the country. People dressed as Gordon Brown were hiding from low-flying planes and flying-related props, getting their photo in the local press and raising awareness in their towns and cities. All of this is sending MPs and the Government the message that they mustn’t ignore the emissions from aviation (and shipping) in the Climate Bill. Check out http://www.flickr.com/photos/foegroups/ for pictures from around England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and have a look at what groups north of the border got up to here: http://www.foe-scotland.org.uk/campaigns/climatechange/bigask/dayaction/ And please keep your photos and press reports coming in! Email localgroups@foe.co.uk for instructions on how to add your pics to the flickr site.
