Youth & education training day

The original description of this event was :

To provide local campaigners interested in environmetal education with the skills and confidence to go into schools and youth clubs.

The aims of the day: To share experiences, to learn how to get into schools / youth clubs, to learn how to plan a session, enthuse, inspire and get your message across, to learn how to use the National Curriculum and Citizenship, to gain an understanding of child protection issues, to feed into the development of the education network and time to get your hands on education publications.

Some guidance on child protection issues for people working with young people.

Suggestions on how to plan your session - including different methods to communicate different messages, how to keep it interesting, and how to enthuse young people.

Ideas on how to build the relationship with the teacher, and for how to support very keen young people. Also the evaluation of the training day by attendees.
