![]() Keep your local area GM-freeGM-Free Britain is an initiative where local authorities have made commitments to protect GM free food and farming in their areas because of concerns about the impacts the introduction of GM crops could have locally. GM-Free Britain is also part of a wider initiative across Europe. To find out what's happening around Europe visit the GMO-free Europe website. Ask your local authority to go GM-freeWe need to encourage local authorities around the country to declare themselves GM-free. The more self-declared GM-free areas there are in the UK, the harder it will be for the Government to introduce commercial growing of GM crops. If you are interested in campaigning locally email us to find out if there is a campaign in your area already. You can then use the resources below to help run your campaign. This includes everything you need to get the public, media, and your local authority on your side. ![]() Now
