We usually meet on the second Wednesday of the month at Cafe GiGi, Willesden Green Library Complex at 8pm. The nearest tube is Willesden Green Station on the Jubilee Line. Please contact us at info@brentfoe.com if you would like more information about our meetings and campaigns or if you would like to come along to a meeting.
The group was founded in March 2006 and covers the areas of Brent East, Brent South and Brent North. We are a small and friendly group and delighted to meet new people. None of us are environmental specialists but we all share a keen interest in protecting our local environment and promoting the national campaigns of Friends of the Earth. In addition, we run our own campaigns, for example against the Heathrow Airport expansion which would affect Brent residents. One of the strengths of our group is that our members are good at different things some of us like running stalls and talking to the public whereas others are keen to draft responses, for example to the Climate Change Bill or the Brent Waste Management Policy.
- supporting the "Big Ask" campaign
- establishing links with Brent councillors about sustainability in Brent
- campaigning against the Heathrow expansion
- running information stalls
